These women are hard at work laying down cod fish for drying on the rocks and they are being watched by their foreman that all is done by the book .. This is a memory from my childhood when I did go with my mother when she did go to do exactly this work.

 Drawn with a Derwent Sketching 4B on a Stillman & Birn Premium Sketchbook for mixed media. This is a initial sketch for a 24x30cm oil painting.
This is so exiting, I am doing a 5 day challenge and I am already on my fourth day. The challenge is to paint a small painting in 20 minutes and then stop when the bell rings, that is the most difficult thing but I am getting better at it! I will show you how I am going so far. Last day tomorrow! I decided to paint Heimaklett today and I did it in 20 minuets.
This was another challenge from DPW which I could not resist. I used a Staedtler 0.05 on a A5 110gsm sketching paper. I am challenging me to work fast and did this in 20 minutes which is really fast for me.  I was drawn to do a quick sketch of this islander, I saw a picture of him in our local paper. He was very happy with my work and has already put it in a frame. Drawn on a 110gsm A5 sketching book.  |
